Current Projects/Programs of SAP-Bangladesh

1. Micro Finance Program has been implemented since February 01, 1987 covering 18 Upazilas of 6 Districts (Dhaka City, Sirajganj, Patuakhali and Bagerhat) with own fund and financial support from Palli Karma-Shahayak Foundation (PKSF), Anukul Foundation-MDF and Mutual Trust Bank Limited with a view to alleviate poverty and ensure socio economic development of disadvantages people especially women.

 

2. Enhancing Resources and Increasing Capability of Poor Household Towards Elimination of their poverty (ENRICH) Program has been implemented in an integrated and holistic development approach since July 03, 2010 in Panpatti Union of Galachipa Upazila under Patuakhali District with own fund and financial support from PKSF to ensure human dignity and freedom by gradually reducing poverty in a sustainable manner and best possible utilization of available resources and capabilities of the poor.

 

3. Socio Economic Uplifting of the Poor People (SEUPP) Project has been implemented since July 01, 2013 in Ullapara and Shahjadpur Upazilas of Sirajganj District with financial support from HOPE International Development Agency, Canada for socio economic uplifting of the poor people by undertaking IGAs through micro finance support.

 

4. Community Led Health Project, Phase-II (CLHP, Phase-II) has been implemented since March 01, 2015 to be ended on February 28, 2018 in Galachipa and Rangabali Upazilas of Patuakhali District with financial support from HOPE International Development Agency, Canada for attaining improved and effective Community-led health services targeting to the poor women and children and adolescent.

 

5. Ensuring Sustainable Livelihoods of Smallholder Farmers Through Beef & Dairy Value Chain Enterprises (ESL) Project has been implemented since August 12, 2014 to be ended on June 30, 2018 in Belkuchi Upazila of Sirajganj District with financial support from Heifer International Bangladesh for ensuring sustainable livelihoods of smallholder farmers through beef and dairy value chain enterprises.

 

6. Creating an enabling environment for young people to claim and access their Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in Bangladesh Project has been implemented since January 01, 2015 to be ended on June 30, 2019 in Barguna Sadar and Amtali Upazilas of Barguna District with financial support from Plan International Bangladesh with a view to improve sexual and reproductive health status of all young people specially those who are marginalized and comes from hard to reach areas through ensuring universal access to SRH services and information.

 

7. Transformation of Extreme Poor (TEP) Project has been implemented since March 01, 2015 to be ended on February 28, 2018 in Rangabali Upazila of Patuakhali District with financial support from HOPE International Development Agency, Canada for reducing extreme poverty and promote sustainable livelihood and ensure food security through empowerment of Extreme Poor (EP) in the targeted area.

 

8. Quality Inclusive Education and Skill Development Program in Barguna has been implemented since July 01, 2017 in Barguna Sadar Upazila of Barguna District with financial support from Plan International Bangladesh to ensure quality inclusive education to the poor and disadvantaged children through skill development of the teachers.

 

9. Quality Inclusive Education Program in Bhola Sadar Upazila has been implemented since July 01, 2017 in Bhola Sadar Upazila of Bhola District with financial support from Plan International Bangladesh to ensure quality inclusive education to the poor and vulnerable children.

 

10. Child Rights & Protection Project has been implemented since September 01, 2017 in Bhola Sadar Upazila of Bhola District with financial support from Plan International Bangladesh to ensure that children are better protected from all forms of violence including child marriage through effective community based child protection mechanisms.

 

11. Community Led Strengthening Health Services Project has been implemented since September 01, 2017 in Bhola Sadar Upazila of Bhola District with financial support from Plan International Bangladesh to ensure that 570,000 children, young people and mothers including the most vulnerable, benefit from access to appropriate quality health services to strengthening govt. health system and comprehensive child upbringing and sexuality education in the districts.

 

12. Enhancing Local and National Humanitarian Actors (ELNHA) has been implemented since May 01, 2017 to be ended on December 31, 2018 in Barguna Sadar Upazila of Barguna District with financial support from Oxfam through CODEC to improve capacity of local and national humanitarian actors of Barguna by the year 2018.
